Greetings,

On behalf of the members of Kappa Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, I welcome you to our chapter’s website. We invite you to learn about our history of service and join us at our events as community partners to support our purpose and programs of service. 

Kappa Alpha Omega Chapter was chartered March 16, 1974, in Itta Bena, Mississippi and serves Leflore County and surrounding areas, the heart of the Mississippi Delta. We are committed to scholarship, services, and sisterhood. 

Led by our International President and CEO, Danette Anthony Reed, Kappa Alpha Omega is excited to implement locally our sorority's 2022-2026 International Program, “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood,” for the improvement of the communities we serve.  Our International Program includes six program initiatives that are designed to improve the lives of those we serve.

• Advocate for Social Justice

• Uplift Our Local Community

We encourage our community partners to support our programs and fundraising efforts to create a better Mississippi Delta. Together, we can leave a legacy that will benefit the citizens of Leflore County and surrounding areas for generations to come.
